Trends Salon and Spa

Have you ever described a friend as being, ‘comfortable
in her own skin?’ That’s a compliment under
any circumstances, but how wonderful those words
sound IF her skin is glowing and beautiful!
Laurie Martinez, with over 29 years experience, is
an expert in skin care and her comfortable shop,
Trends Salon & Spa also offers many other services.
The full service salon has a large staff including 14
stylists, 3 nail technicians, and also provides facials as
well as massage therapy.
After being in the business for so many years,
Martinez, “was able to learn from both sides of the
fence what customers were looking for. I wanted to
have a South Florida, Hemingway feel with a touch
of class, and wanted clients to feel like they could
kick their shoes off and relax,” said the very busy
hands-on executive. Clients are offered a beverage
upon entering the door and are immediately made to
feel at home.
The interior design of Trends Salon & Spa was
not created with a toss of a coin, “I drew and
changed the plans many times during a period of
year and a half. I have a close friend who had the
ability to create anything with cabinets and help me
utilize my space wisely,” the enthusiastic Martinez
said. Trends Salon & Spa has 12 foot ceilings sloping
downward to nine feet casting effective lighting
for clients and the associates. Martinez also has
created semi-private areas by using half walls that are protective,
yet not confining.
