The Island Grill is stunningly decorated with
large fiberglass fish suspended from the ceiling, a
1,500 gallon aquarium, art work (available in the
Gallery) embedded in the table tops, and a view
of the Intracoastal Waterway and boats that transports
you to another world.
Before or after satisfying your hunger, step
into The Guy Harvey Island Gallery where you
can discover a world of art work, all available for
sale. This is the area in which you can spend
time shopping for gifts, souvenirs, and additions
to your own home decor. Leave time to browse.
Guy Harvey’s Island Grill in Orange Beach is
casual, yet upscale, has something for everyone
and is definitely going to be “the buzz in this
area,” said Megan Bennett, public relations manager.
The Island Grill’s popularity is due, in a large
part, to the expertise of its executive chef,
Matthew Schee. His years of experience began
with culinary school, followed by a stint as Sous
Chef in Key West’s Pier House Resort. In the
spring of last year, Schee began his association
with Guy Harvey’s Island Grill.
Southern Coast Home Design prevailed upon
him to share his Pepper Crusted Tuna Salad
recipe:
One four-ounce heavily peppered yellowfin
tuna loin, seared rare and thinly sliced over a bed
of spring mix, and julienne cucumbers and grape
tomatoes lightly dressed in a sesame soy vinaigrette.
Top it with Asian pickled red onions and
ripe avocado. Finish with a spicy wasabe aioli.
Guy Harvey’s Island Grill’s hours are Sunday
through Thursday 11 a.m. to midnight, and open
until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights. Call
