“Lynx makes a trash center that tips out. The
plastic trash can sits down in there, and it’s
neatly tucked away,” Kevin explains. “An
optional chute can be cut into the countertop.
They make a stainless cover for it, and a cutting
board.”
Besides filtering its own sink’s water, the
built-in Cocktail Pro by Lynx provides a
bottle opener and towel rack. Its access
door and ample storage allows space for
mixers and liquor.
Kevin Trussell designs outdoor kitchens at his Grill Island
workshop in Pensacola. With his brother Kent to help with
framing and construction, he is adding serving bars to his line.
“Some people may have a free-standing grill and cart, and
may not want the whole outdoor kitchen,” said Kent. “But
with a serving bar, kids can jump out of the pool for a snack
or lunch. It’s very accessible.’’
With their custom cabinetry, Grill Island’s bars accommodate
refrigeration units, icemakers, ice chests and cooling
drawers, as well as power burners, or a fryer.
“We can put beer kegs below, and serving taps through the
countertop; or install glass-door wine coolers,” suggested
Kevin.
“People want serving and cooking convenience. With our
covered ice wells set into the counter, they can keep individual
cans or bottles cold, and ready,” said Kevin. “Their drains
make clean-up easy.”
