the day, I am only as good as my
resources.”
For this home in Oceania, located
in Gulf Shores’ West Beach, Lisa
admits that the bold wall colors are
not her personal style. “But it’s not
about me. The homeowners have
traveled the world. They love the
water, and they wanted their home
to reflect the colors of the water, out
the window and around the world.
They chose the turquoise for the
walls, and they knew that I would
make that work. My job was to find
the best ways to complement their
choice to complete the room.”
To accomplish her task, Lisa
chose muted shades of gold with
deep red accents. “With such a bold
color on the wall, it was important
that other colors not compete.”
All of the colors of the oceans
come together in -- mosaic tiles
from Oceanside Glass that Lisa
used for the kitchen bar, the backsplash
and the columns in the living
area. “The tiles reflect the light, capturing
the look of sunlight on the
water.”
Lisa admits that the home was a
unique challenge. “I loved it, and I’m
thrilled with how it turned out. But
more importantly, the homeowners
love it, and that’s what it’s all about.”
